Naturally Grown (Certified Organic)
Certified organic cinnamon is grown without the use of herbicides, pesticides, and other harmful chemicals. Our cinnamon comes directly from certified organic growers in Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) where growing conditions are ideal for this native species. The production, inspection and certification of our cinnamon is regulated by the National Organic Program (NOP) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Single Origin (Premium Grade)
Our cinnamon is cultivated by organic farmers in Sri Lanka's Central Province. This mountainous region is believed to be where the Cinnamomum verum species of evergreen tree originated. Ceylon cinnamon consists of the dried inner bark of the Cinnamomum verum tree and has a fine, less dense, and more crumbly texture than other species of cinnamon. Pure Ceylon cinnamon powder is light in color and has a fresh, citrusy aroma and delicate flavor. Other species of cinnamon, like Cinnamomum cassia, produce a more dense and darker colored bark. Manufactured in the USA (cGMP Certified)
The organic cinnamon we import from Sri Lanka is processed and manufactured in the United States. Processing involves microbial testing, sifting, re-milling and blending the fine powder. After processing, the powder is encapsulated and packaged at an FDA registered and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) certified facility. These certifications guarantee that the highest manufacturing standards are used to insure our products exceed all FDA established specifications for quality and purity. Learn more
